Perry Morris, the distiller for Southern Grace Distilleries. Morris has packed up a box of Sun Dog 130 to ship to ABC officials in Raleigh, who regulate the distribution of liquor. Sun Dog 130 is the first product created by Southern Grace Distilleries, whose distillery is based out of the old Warren C. Coleman mill at 625 Main St. SW, Concord. This shipment includes 45 cases of legal moonshine, adding up to 540 bottles. The bottles will retail for $29.95 for 750 milliliters or a fifth. The product should be on the shelves of ABC stores in Concord within about the next 10 days. Leanne Powell, president of Southern Grace Distilleries, said they are already working to develop their next product, which will be a fruit infused moonshine. They have already received recipe approval for that product from Raleigh officials and are currently waiting on their label approval. Powell said that product should be ready to release within the next two months or so.
