Brea Linker runs through a group of cheering employees of Academy Sports + Outdoors prior to a shopping spree she and other Kannapolis students enjoyed Wednesday morning. Carolina Panthers players were at the sporting goods store to help to help 25 low-income students from Kannapolis Intermediate School shop for presents. Each student received a $100 gift card from Academy for their shopping spree. The students were selected by the United Way of Central Carolinas and Kannapolis City Schools.
