Central Cabarrus High School senior Garrett Smith shaves his classmate Brad Pence's head prior to the Vikings game against Mallard Creek Friday night. Fellow seniors Philip Vermillion, center, Jacob Hudson and Bobby Turner watch on. The group tailgates before each Viking home game and are trying to start a new tradition with shaving heads. Pence is the second member of the group to get his hair cut off this season. Vermillion said several members of the football team shaved their heads so they decided to follow suit.
